About Mind Body Life

Mind Body Life is a multi-faceted wellness campaign designed specifically for Santa Fe College students, to address the unique mental health challenges they face while in school and to remove common barriers that prevent them from seeking or receiving care.

The goal of the MBL website is to provide engaging and educational information that lowers the stigma around mental health by showing the connection between mind, body, and life.

The Mind Body Life project was created with funding obtained by Santa Fe College in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and the Florida Department of Health and is available to all of the schools within the Florida College system.

The content provided on this site is not written by licensed medical professionals, nor is it intended to be used for diagnosis or treatment—but to provide access to local campus care and mental health services.

You’re Not Alone

Research shows that 1 in 6 adults in the U.S. have been diagnosed with a mental health condition. But regardless of the condition, a consistent thread is loneliness. Feelings of isolation can have the same impact on mortality as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

Studies show that students have higher loneliness scores than retirees. College can be a very isolating experience. Even with all the events and stadium noise and people everywhere, students often feel alone.

Mind Body Life is here to offer fun evidenced-based activities proven to boost overall health. We also provide tangible ways to connect with others—by promoting student involvement, shared experiences, and meaningful interactions that help us all feel a little less alone.
